I just bought my first Subaru at Liberty Subaru in Libertyville this week, and I can’t recommend them enough. Charles, the salesperson, actually came in on his day off to show me a car. The whole experience was nothing like a typical car dealership—there was zero pressure and no shady sales tactics. Rich, the sales manager, was able to get me the best possible deal on my car. Both he and Charles were upfront and honest with me. Thanks again for a great car-buying experience!

The BBB has advised Liberty Auto City claimed I wasn't a customer and my review shouldn't be posted. Their website boasts about being "a company since 1965, family owned and operated," but my experience is contrary to caring about customer experience.

Spoke with manager, they say they weren't the owner when I brought in my car so they're not responsible. Same name, same location, same customers but not responsible. I wouldn't recommend to anyone a place you go to and they break your car and won't fix it.

I reached out via email regarding a used Subaru Outback we were interested in and we live two hours away. From the moment I got a response, we had a positive experience. Found a used Subaru Crosstrek we liked. Chris went over the features in detail with us. Decided to buy and filled out the paperwork and got it.
Outstanding experience, I called 4 days earlier and spoke with Hector. He said that he can work out the details of the car I want. He went over and above. His customer service was wonderful..

Purchased a Crosstrek this evening from Peter who was amazing and kind. Can't say enough. No pressure, took my considerations / needs into account, worked with me and again no pressures. Presented options and didn't push anything. I won't say what however went out of their way to add to the deal (after the deal was done, not before). When I purchased the vehicle the business person was making a hard sell on the service agreement. When we advised him we were not interested he became cold and rude. The closing process with him was very uncomfortable.
My recent experience with service was great with the service agent who checked me in. He was not present when I came to retrieve the vehicle. His teammates were preoccupied with other tasks and were ignoring me until I approached one of them and he directed me to the cashier. No explanation of the work performed was offered. I needed an oil change and, on a whim, decided to call my local dealer(Kenosha) and asked for a callback since they were busy. Simplest new car purchase I've made. Mr. Hector was about as low key, low pressure as I've seen. Dealership didn't hesitate when I brought them the price they agreed to through "True Car" (or whatever it's called; some referral service through my spouse's work).
And once you said you were interested in a car through that referral service mentioned above, your name got farmed out to multiple local dealers, who must have called me 100xs.

I am used to working with Jason and Gabe. They don't miss a thing. Over the years I have really come to trust them. This last service- a couple weeks ago- I had a Saturday appointment and those two don't work Saturdays. I know everyone was working hard but there was an items missed on the to-do list when I went to pick up the car. Hoping the weekend service can be a strong as what I get during the week.

I brought my car in for an oil change, which I have been doing for the last 5-1/2 years. I was always satisfied with the service, however, I was informed that Liberty Subaru is now charging a 3% credit card surcharge. I find this to be offensive. I told the service advisor I would not be returning. The service manager tried to explain that their costs are going up. Credit card companies have been charging service fees to merchants since their inception. Merchants factor this into the price of their goods and services. I feel this is nothing more than a ... The Subaru Service department recommended repairs that weren't necessary. Overpriced labor as well. Never going back.

Serve to reapply fabric and paint protection products. Franco was very helpful and informative about this process. The work was done excellently!! The only disagreement I had was with a scratch that was seen on the lower left side of the hood upon completion. Otherwise the car looks like new.
We were expecting a much harder sell technique but it never happened they were pleasant and accommodating.
The customer service was outstanding. Justin took the time and answered all of my questions. He was super nice and courteous.
